Rotary Die Anvil Roll Coating
Application
When labels are printed, various shapes and sizes are stamped out of the roll of labels with a rotary die.
Requirements
During the stamping process, the blades on the counter-cutting rotary die need to touch the metal surface of the anvil roll. The surface of the anvil roll needs to be very hard wearing and very smooth, but, even so, can become damaged.
Coating
StarCoat® applied to the anvil roll provides extremely durable protection against wear and effectively protects the anvil roll against damage and wear. Superior to chrome plating, StarCoat® lends itself to being superfinished to achieve the level of smoothness required.
