Impreglon Group grows with new technologies and new sites in Germany.
Gossmann-PAC and ALZI Metallveredelung join the Group. Effective January 1, 2013, Impreglon Group has acquired two additional coating companies in Germany (in Bad Camberg and in Wünschendorf/Gera). With their surface technologies both plants ideally complement the 'One Stop Shop' concept of the Group. While Gossmann-PAC is a specialist for robot applied coatings for locking, sealing and sliding which may be applied on top of pre-applied Impreglon surfaces, ALZI adds corrosion protection coatings and complete assembly jobs.
After six acquisitions in the past year management plans to consolidate, improve margins and slightly reduce the speed of acquisitions in 2013. After sales of 90 million Euro in 2012 the group expects to increase sales again in 2013 by 30 million to 120 million Euro.

Impreglon Group surpasses its own sales forecast.
Sales rose 20% over the previous year (75 million Euro), with organic growth accounting for about half of that. The preliminary results, particularly EBIT and EBT, were influenced negatively by special factors such as the delayed start up of a new plant and acquisition expenses. After initial analysis of the numbers, management has decided to use 2013 to concentrate on consolidation and to continue the 'Buy & Build' strategy with no more than one or two acquisitions and without capital increases.
The group companies' budgets as well as re-emerging economic optimism are reasons for management to confidently anticipate 2013.
With 28 plants in 13 countries on four continents around the world, Impreglon is a global leader in surface engineering.
Sales for the full year 2012 were 90,888k Euro, up from 75,485k Euro for 2011.

Paint mixing equipment easy to keep clean with Impreglon coating.
Application
Containers and agitators are used for mixing in the production of paints and lacquers. The process involves mixing paint at high speed but, before new paint is mixed, the container and agitator must be completely cleaned.
Requirements
Cleaning the containers is very time consuming. The static charge of the agitator can cause escaping solvent vapours to react.
Coating
Coating the containers and agitators with a conductive TempCoat® coating developed specifically for this application prevents paint residue from sticking. The conductivity of the coating ensures there is no risk of the solvent igniting.

The TempCoat® method creates a high quality polymer surface. These coatings have excellent sliding, non-stick, release and dry lubrication properties and the TempCoat® process ensures that the coating is securely anchored to the base material (substrate).
TempCoat® coatings can be applied to aluminium, castings, steel, stainless steel, ceramics, some copper alloys and with certain coating systems to carbon fibre, glass fibre and some plastics. This method is particularly well suited to applications requiring good sliding and non-stick properties as well as high resistance to wear.
The TempCoat® range is also known as ChemCoat® in other parts of the Impreglon Group.
Another range of coatings, SafeCoat®, from the Starnberger companies (which were purchased by the Impreglon Group in 2007), is being integrated into the TempCoat® range. This range of low friction and non-stick coatings compliment the TempCoat® range.
Impreglon UK also applies an impact resistant polyurethane coating with sound deadening properties. This polyurethane coating system has been specifically sourced for its adhesion properties. Available in a number of different colours, the coating thickness ranges from 1mm upwards.

MagnaCoat® surfaces are heavy-duty fluoropolymer coatings which are pinhole free. They can also offer good non-stick properties and some have high electrical and impact resistance, even at elevated temperatures. Since our last post the Impreglon Group has bought another European coating applicator.
Effective December 1, 2012 Impreglon Group acquired the pipe coating division of Julius Mieden GmbH in Bottrop, Germany. Before Bilfinger & Berger AG had already acquired the protective coating division for buildings from Mieden. With 'coatings for large pipes' Impreglon closes a gap its range of services and establishes a further location in the Ruhr district of Germany. The parties agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
