Optical Coatings at the Winter Olympics.
Optical Coating Technologies, a part of Impreglon UK, is proud to have helped Team GB at the 2014 Winter Olympics at Sochi, Russia.
A key area of business for Optical Coating Technologies is in the coating of eye safety ware: goggles, glasses and visors. The coatings are used to give anti-fog, abrasion resistance and chemical resistance. So to help the British bobsleigh team we coated the outside face with one of our abrasion resistant coatings and the inside face with an anti-fog coating. Two different coating technologies were used which is something Optical Coating Technologies is particularly skilled at.
